What is autism?
What is ABA?

Audra Jensen, M.Ed.,BCBA, Director

Audra began her interest in the field of autism 10 years ago when her son was diagnosed at the age of two. She was actively involved in his home therapy programs, educational placements, as well as other therapeutic services he received. She wrote a book on autism and hyperlexia titled When Babies Read: A Practical Guide to Helping Young Children with Hyperlexia, Asperger Syndrome, and High-Functioning Autism, published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers (ISBN: 1843108038). She had a wide range of experiences from which to draw when she decided to return to school to pursue higher education. Audra got her Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education with a special emphasis on autism in 2006. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Audra is a certified teacher and taught a program in the Evergreen School District for students with high-functioning autism and Asperger Syndrome before consulting full-time. Audra was a presenter at Michelle Garcia Winner's providers' conference in San Jose, CA this summer and will pursue certification through her Social Thinking clinic in California when it is made available (likely 2009). Audra loves her work and feels that she has a special bond with the students she works with largely because she has one at home to love, as well!

The following is a list of therapists who may currently be working with ABC families or have in the past. They have all had training through ABC from minimal to extensive. Please interview and consider each therapist individually. Interviewing, hiring, scheduling hours, and paying home tutors are the primary responsibility of the family. ABC can help find tutors and will do all training.

Linda Albright, M.Ed.

Linda is a certified special education teacher and teaches a class in the Evergreen School District for students with high-functioning autism and Asperger's (the same program Audra taught). She works during the school year as a part-time ABA therapist and provides more tutoring hours during the summer. She has extensive experience working with children with autism with varying degrees and is a highly sought-after home therapist.
